Nollywood actress Regina Daniels took to social media to condemn the hoisting of the Russian flag in the north.
In an Instagram video, the wife of senator Ned Nwoko showed footage of aggrieved End Bad Governance protesters waving the Russian flags.
All Naija Trends recall that Nigerians commenced a 10-day nationwide protest on August 1, 2024.
In northern states where the protest is still ongoing, protesters were seen hoisting the Russian flag.
Reacting to this Daniels, despite criticisms she has received online for advising youths on the protest, said it isn’t the way to go.
According to her, Nigeria cannot be changed in one day and not by one man.
She stated she isn’t against the protest because she is privileged, supporting the government, or wants people to love her.
Daniels said she doesn’t need anybody’s love but just speaking the facts.
The mother of two mentioned that what is happening in the north can affect other regions.
She reveals how she increased her nannies, cooks, and gatemen’s salaries because of the economic hardship in Nigeria.
Daniels insisted that the protest needs to be stopped as it is turning into something else.
“You see what is happening in the north, hoisting the Russian flag. Mind you, whatever happens in the north can get to you.
“I preached against violence, and some ignorant Nigerians said it’s because I’m privileged and opportuned. But that didn’t stop me from increasing my nannies and gatemen’s salaries.
“The point remains that Nigeria cannot be changed in a day and not by one man. I am not speaking for the government, nor am I speaking for you people to love me because I don’t need it. I am just stating the obvious fact.
“The sooner we realise that this protest is turning into something else, the better for us all,” she said.
