The Muslim Students’ Society Of Nigeria (MSSN), Kosofe Area Council, is set to hold the 2021 edition of its Sisters’ Seminar hosting dignitaries from all walks of life. The event, which targets Muslim sisters, aims at educating and enlightening them on issues pertaining to their gender. It will be held at Ojota Central Mosque on Saturday 22nd, May 2021.
Beautiful programs such as Quran galore, drama, and ewi, have been planned by the Area Council to make the day memorable. The guest speaker, Director, Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative, Barr. Mutiat Orolu Balogun will also beguile the audience with her in-depth awareness of the right role models to imitate.
According to the Amirah of the Area Council, Hajia Lateefah Ibrahim, the program is a way of guiding teenagers from making costly errors during their formative years.
In her words:
“The program is just about our teenagers and guiding them to ensure they don’t make costly mistakes in their early years.
A digital footprint is very important. They have to be intentional in everything they do so as not to be hunted by their mistakes in future.
They should emulate good social media influencers and do away with those that would affect them academically, morally and spiritually.”
