Brymo Shares Why Abortion Should Be Legalized

Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, has called for the legalisation of abortion in Nigeria.

According to the singer, abortion should be legalised so that individuals who eventually bring children to the world will be forced to stay and raise them.

He said abortion being legal will let people decide properly the child to keep, and there can be a law to ensure no parent abandons the child they decided to raise.

“Let abortions on all safe levels be legal, and so that folks may be enforced to stay and raise the kids they bring forth by law.

“There is too much of letting adults walk away from commitments they pretended to be partaking of a while before.

“And abortion being legal may then let us decide properly what child to keep, and the law to stay and raise them may then exist for knowing that no child may be abandoned,” Brymo wrote.

Netizens react:

@cochavafarms: “Abortion is for the benefit of the society. It is a crime to force a girl child to keep a pregnancy she does not want. Abortion is a human fundamental right. One reason Kamala Harris will win.”

@star.zfashion: “Dead beat parents should be arrested.”

@lemonadeswithlemons: “I support this take. there are too many unwanted kids who suffer unnecessarily. society should leave women to make decisions about their wombs, as long as it helps make the world a better place and everyone is happy, including the women who make the choice to ab0rt.”

@angie__may27: “As a lady don’t get pregnant for a guy that’s not ready for marriage to avoid damaging your womb in the name of abortion.”

@vickthourrr: “It shouldn’t sir, if the Lady doesn’t want the child, she can simply drop the child in orphanage home. When she now establish she fit start to dey look for the child. E fit be say that child na the only child she go get for her life.”

@_lasunkanmi_: “I JUST KNOW PEOPLE SHOULDN’T HAVE CHILDREN THEY CAN’T CATER FOR ????.”

@cariscuisine_lagos: “????if they legalize this then it will be very bad cause a lot of people will abuse it !!learn to have safe intercourse.”

@clear_lifestylenmore: “From a Christian perspective, it shouldn’t. However, it can be considered in exceptional circumstances.”

@theellatyra: “From a Public Health standpoint…I totally agree with Brymo…Legal access to safe abortion reduces the risk of complications and deaths associated with unsafe, illegal abortions. When abortion is illegal or heavily restricted like in Nigeria, women may turn to unqualified providers or dangerous methods.”

@lilisconcept_: “Y get pregnant Wen U not ready for a baby? Know Ur fertile days and Use protection..period.”

@oliverjoh453: “Brymo leave smoke alone before you enter market.”
