How Levante’s Comeback Is Reducing Barcelona’s Giant Title Hopes!
The catalan giant were stunned by Levante as Barcelona lost the lead twice in the game. Lionel Messi’s opener was his 29th goal in the La Liga goalscoring chart. However, a draw to Levante, gives both the Madrid clubs a good advantage for the 2020/21 La Liga title race as Barcelona are one point below Atlectico de Madrid and one point above Real Madrid, with one outstanding game in favour of the both Madrid clubs.
The Barcelona youngster Pedri had the first chance of the game which was saved by the Levante’s goalkeeper in the 25th minutes. Barcelona’s left back Jordi Alba gave a wonderful cross into the box and Lionel Messi scored a spectacular volly to give his side the advantage. Minutes later Barcelona double the advantage through Pedri who was assisted by Dembele in the 34th minutes.
Despite being two goals behind the catalan giant, Gonzalo Melero, scored a power header to give his side hopes of a comeback but they weren’t through as their comeback was completed for the first time in the game through their skipper, Jose Luis Morales, in the 59 minutes, as he scored his 13th goal of the season. Shortly after, Ousmane Dembele, put Barcelona in front again but the catalan giant could not hold their lead as Sergio Leon made the comeback for the second time in the game which saw Barcelona lose two points on the 3-3 draw against Levante in matchday 36. Barcelona has lost more points from winning since matchday 32.
