The Council Of Higher Institutions (COHI), Lagos State Welcome The Muslim Ummah To The 1443AH Islamic Year.

The Islamic New Year 1443AH begins on this day, the 9th of August, 2021. Today, the first day of Muharram 1443AH, the Council of Higher Institutions (COHI) welcomes Muslims to the Islamic year 1443 A.H. and encourages all Muslims to make this year a year of prosperous transformation for themselves, their religion, and our beloved country, Nigeria.

Muharram is one of the Islamic calendar’s four sacred months, during which Muslims are encouraged to abstain from sin and pray for the betterment of their country.

The Council of Higher Institutions (COHI) encourages the Muslim ummah to engage in as much ibadah as possible, including fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of the Islamic months, as Prophet Muhammad (SAW) advised.

We pray Almighty Allah intervene in the problem of insecurity encountering our country and also save us from the dreadful corona virus disease. We also ask him to guide our leaders in making the country a better Nation.
