Leicester City Crash Out Of Europa League

It was a disappointing night for Leicester City as they crashed out of the Europa League, the foxes who have been in fine form and currently stay 3rd in the Premier League, crashed out of the Europa League courtesy of a Provod goal, 4mins into the games second half, the Slavia Prague’s wingers goal ended Leicester’s run of 234 minutes without conceding in the Europa League.

This was followed by a 79min Sima goal to seal the tie in favour of the Czech Republic visitors.

The defeat saw Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers eliminated from all five of his UEFA Europa League knockout ties as a manager (all last 32) – with Liverpool in 2012-13 and 2014-15, Celtic in 2017-18 and 2018-19 and Leicester this season.

In Greece, the Gunners survived a scare to secure a place in the Europa League round of 16. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s brace and Kieran Tierney strike, were enough to see them through.

Manchester United progressed to the Europa League last 16 after playing out a goalless draw with Real Sociedad at Old Trafford to see them go through 4-0 on aggregate. Amad Diallo, Man United’s most recent signing, made his home debut as a second-half substitute in the fixture.

Dele Alli scored a stunning overhead kick, a Gareth Bale goal and a Vinicius brace were enough to send Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham into the last-16 of Europa League.
